PART IIInstallation
CHAPTER 4
Where and how to install
Place the hub on a flat, dry, easily reached surface, in an area meant for electronic equipment. Unlike the devices that live hidden inside the cabinet, the Aquarino was designed to be on display — but a few precautions still apply:
| Avoid | Why |
|---|---|
| Places exposed to splashes, or above the water line | This is electronic equipment; constant moisture shortens its life |
| Running sensor cables alongside power cables | Electrical interference degrades the readings, especially temperature and the probes |
| Stretching communication cables beyond 5 metres | Powerbar, Failover and sensor extenders have a 5-metre limit for reliable communication |
- Position the hub — horizontal on the silicone feet, or vertical using the holes on the underside.
- Connect the 12 V supply to the DC 12V port and to the wall outlet.
- Wait a few seconds: the equipment gives a beep and the green Wi-Fi LED starts blinking, showing that it is ready to be configured (Chapter 8).
