PART VPutting it to work
CHAPTER 15
Monitoring mode
This is the simplest mode: the Aquarino KH measures and warns, but does not act. All correction stays in your hands.
You do not need to configure anything to use it — just leave the Buffer Doser on None and the Co2 Port on Disabled.
| If KH is | What the equipment does |
|---|---|
| Above the band | E-mail with the result, sound alert and red LED |
| Inside the band | E-mail with the result (if configured) and green LED |
| Below the band | E-mail with the result, sound alert and blue LED |
15.1 Who this mode is for
For anyone who already has a working replenishment system — balling with several pumps, or a well-tuned calcium reactor — and wants, above all, to see what is happening.
With the history at hand you can answer questions that used to be guesswork:
- Is my daily alkalinity consumption really what I think it is?
- Does the drop happen during the day or at night?
- Did that water change move KH? By how much?
- After I increased the dose, did the aquarium actually settle?
